PSP IDs man killed after garbage truck backs into tree in Port Matilda

Centre Co., PA (WJAC) — State Police have identified the man killed when a garbage truck backed into a tree on Wednesday.
Investigators say Nathan Kerstetter, 38, of Milesburg, was killed when he was reportedly struck by an overhanging tree near a driveway in Port Matilda Borough.
Centre County coroner Scott Sayers says Kerstetter suffered blunt force trauma to the head, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

State police in Centre County say one person was killed Wednesday after a garbage truck backed into a tree in Port Matilda.
Investigators say the incident occurred just before noon, near the 200 block of North Main Street, in Port Matilda Borough.
Police say the driver of a garbage truck was backing into a driveway and did not notice an overhanging tree.
Troopers say the victim was hanging onto the back of the truck and was struck by the tree.
Officials say the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
State police and the Centre County coroner's office are investigating the incident.
Authorities have not yet identified the victim, nor the company that the garbage truck belonged to, however, our crew on scene reported seeing a truck owned by Newman Hill Inc., based in Milesburg.
