JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (WJAC) — Two men are facing theft charges for allegedly stealing $2,000 from a bar by altering gambling machine tickets. Police say surveillance video shows a woman, known by police, played the gambling machine at the Fifth Avenue Bar March 17 and claimed to have won $1,000 by providing an altered ticket to the bartender. The bartender took the ticket and gave the woman $1,000, according a criminal complaint.

CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — The Cambria Regional Chamber of Commerce held its annual award dinner Wednesday evening. The chamber honored several members, in a number of categories, including Frank Duca Funeral Home, Mihalko’s Contracting and other businesses and leaders. PITTSBURGH (WJAC) — According to Pittsburgh Pirates beat writer Jason Mackey, the team has reportedly agreed to a five-year contract extension with starting pitcher Mitch Keller. The new contract extension is reportedly worth $77 million. Keller was drafted by Pittsburgh in 2014 and made his MLB debut in 2019. Keller is coming off one of his best seasons, where he posted a record of 13-9, with a 4.21 ERA, and was selected to the 2023 MLB All-Star Game.

BEDFORD CO, Pa (WJAC) — Detours have been announced for a section of the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Bedford County this weekend, as crews will be working to remove a bridge, according to an announcement from the Somerset County Department of Emergency Services. The Turnpike will be closed, from Saturday, March 20th, at 11 p.m., to Sunday, March 21st, at 6 a.m., between the New Stanton (Exit 75) and Breezewood (Exit 161) exits.

Cameron County, PA (WJAC) — Authorities in Cameron County have charged an Emporium man after he allegedly pulled a gun on another individual during an altercation at the scene of a crash earlier this week. Police say on Monday, around 11 p.m., troopers were responding to a vehicle crash along West Allegany Ave. when they received a report that one of the individuals on scene has brandished a weapon. Troopers say, according to witnesses, two nearby residents were attempting to assist the driver involved in the crash when a third man, identified as 30-year-old David Akins Jr.

MURRYSVILLE, Pa. (WTAE) — "You can see traffic moving once again in the east and westbound lanes of Route 22. It's those east bound lanes that were closed for hours this morning after four bicyclists were hit. One of them did not survive."
