PITTSBURGH (AP) — So much for Myles Jack’s retirement.
The Pittsburgh Steelers signed the veteran inside linebacker to the practice squad on Monday, three months after Jack stepped away from the game in the middle of training camp with the Philadelphia Eagles.
Pittsburgh (6-4) needs help at inside linebacker following season-ending injuries to Cole Holcomb and Kwon Alexander in recent weeks. Elandon Roberts played every defensive snap in a 13-10 loss to Cleveland on Sunday, with Mykal Walker — signed to the practice squad in late October before being promoted to the active roster last week — taking the majority of the snaps at the other inside linebacker spot.
The West End Improvement Group held their annual basket party on Sunday.
The event included a light lunch and several baskets for people to win.
The proceeds from the event go towards the group’s many projects such as the installation of security camera, the 100+ flower boxes that they plant in the summertime, community gardens and events as well as other beautification projects.
Organizers highlight that these initiatives help improve all of Johnstown and not just their neighborhood.

Among the claims corrected by the president’s staff was Biden’s assertion he was vice president “during the pandemic." The COVID-19 pandemic began in March 2020 under former President Donald Trump, and Biden, campaigning for president at the time, had not served as vice president since 2016.

SPRING TOWNSHIP, Pa. (WJAC) — Three children and the driver of a Bellefonte Area School District bus were injured and taken to local hospitals after the bus hit a tree, that’s according to a joint statement from the school district and Spring Township Police Department.
The bus reportedly crashed into a tree, trapping the driver inside just before 8 a.m. Wednesday morning on the 2900 block of Greens Valley Rd., according to the release.
UPDATE | Johnstown, PA (WJAC) — Cambria County coroner Jeff Lees has identified the victim of the early morning fatal house fire in the Hornerstown section of Johnstown.
Lees says 32-year-old Alexander Perring suffered thermal and inhalation injuries in the blaze.
Investigators say the fire broke out at the home, located along the 700 block of Pine Street, just before 2 a.m., while crews were responding to another house fire that was just a few blocks away.
There has been an update on the condition of two somerset police officers who were injured while rescuing a woman from a burning building Tuesday on Clark Street in Somerset Borough.
Both officers that assisted in the rescue of the woman trapped in her home have been discharged from the hospital after suffering smoke inhalation.
At around 1:30 Tuesday afternoon, first responders were called to the home for a report of a basement fire.
What’s known as the largest free-flying American flag over an inclined-plane is finally being reconstructed.
It was back in may that the flagpole was removed due to structural issues but work has finally begun to put it back together.
The parts to re-erect the pole that holds the giant American flag that flies over Johnstown have been delivered to the top of the inclined plane.
